Where there’s muck...

Work is well underway on upgrades to Severn Trent Water’s Craven Arms Sewage Treatment Works. The purpose of the upgrades is to improve the quality of the effluent discharging to the watercourse.

Main contractor Black & Veatch have appointed Hayes Engineering Services to manufacture and install all access metalwork including galvanised open mesh flooring and support steelwork over and around concrete structures. This will include all necessary handrailing and access stairs, miscellaneous pipework support beams and handrailing around voids. Hayes commenced work on site in August and expect to complete the project at the end of November.

Hayes Chairman, Alan Legge, welcomed the opportunity to undertake another project for Black & Veatch, one of several that Hayes will have completed recently. He said “Hayes work hard to ensure that all of our projects are completed on time and within budget. It’s comforting to be rewarded for our efforts with repeat business such as this from such a large and well respected multi national.”
